Meeting app concept for beekeepers and farmers
The situation
The main factors contributing to bee disparition are single crop farming, radio waves, exaggerated transhumance, asian hornets and pesticides. The latter being used by farmers to increase their productivity.  Underpaid and exhausted, the farmers hesitate to turn to biological production, but most of them find a good compromise with beekeepers : they stop using pesticides and beekeepers make their plantations highly pollinated thanks to their bees. Experimentations from the CNRS between 2012 and 2016 proved that it is profitable to massively use pollinating bees on rape or sunflower fields instead of using pesticides. The first offsets the second one.
A biological crisis is a short period (on a global scale) during which a large number of species become extinct due to failure to adapt. With the arrival of Human and all the changes he brought, the scientific community agrees that a new biodiversity crisis has indeed begun. Bee extinction, will make a third of the fruits disappear on earth, incurring new diseases and deficiencies, costing more than three billions euros to the world.

How can I, as a designer, facilitate the communication system between farmers and beekeepers in order to protect bees from extinction ?
The solution
“Meet a bee” is a mobile application (and a website) for professional meetings between farmers and beekeepers. Its goal is to create positive communication, by encouraging collaboration between these two professions, in order to encourage farmers to adopt practices that are more respectful to bees.

My approach
I had five days to finish my project. I divided my days into several steps :

1.
I spent my first day to investigate about beekeepers and their work. I interviewed one of them to have a better understanding of pesticide issues. I completed this meeting by searching on the web.
2.
On my second day of work, I considered all the information received and how to gather them.
At the end of the day, I had created four pre-concepts
.

3.
Then, on my 3rd day, I chose one concept. I developed it and I began to create some communication tools as usage scenario. I worked on branding and visual identity with Photoshop and Illustrator.
I spent my 4th day creating my application mockup on Adobe XD. I then prepared my presentation on Indesign.

On the morning of my last day, I prepared my speech and trained myself to pitch.
I presented the concept later that day in front of my department manager.
